Kudos
to the person who coined the term “love
handles” to lovingly describe the extra
rolls of fat around our waistline.
It’s a cute and clever term, but if we
had our choice, we would rather be
handle-less, wouldn’t
we?
So, how do we become
handle-less and more lovingly fit without those
rolls of extra fat around our waistline and
belly? We must burn fat and build
muscle.
You cannot burn the fat off a
specific area of the body. Fat does not
miraculously melt off one part of the
body. When your body loses fat, it is an
overall fat reduction. You must combine
high intensity cardio with toning exercises
(and don’t forget that you must eat more
healthfully too).
Add some running or jogging
to your exercise routine or a high intensity
cardio class such as kickboxing or
spinning. Combine that with toning
exercises for your middle muscles such as
oblique crunches, side crunches, side twists,
and cable twists with light
weights.
Before you know it, you will
love having a tone core, and you will love
being without your love
handles.
